Happy new year everybody!
January 1, 2014We’re into the new year and excited to continue sharing great comics, podcasts and fun with all our friends, listeners and readers! Just a head’s up, it’s been a crazy holiday season and I’m postponing the podcast release till tomorrow. Sorry about last weeks podcast not coming out but hey it was Christmas day, we were all too busy to get one even recorded. I think next year during November and December we’ll shift to an every other week release schedule so we can stay regular (heh…) but not kill ourselves trying survive the holidays and still record release 8 podcasts.
So, we’ll have our famous Gag-Cast release tomorrow, which is a really fun recap/retrospective of the year in the form of listening to our gag reels for select episodes and reminiscing about all the insanity that happens at the Geek Life studio! See y’all tomorrow.

069 – Geek Life – DASS

This week we spotlight the excellent comic DASS by John Jamtli. DASS follows the indomitable Petter Dass, real life Lutheran clergyman and foremost Norwegian poet of his generation. However, in this comic he is also a wizard battling against witches, demons and trolls, all set in the beautiful Nordic countryside! So basically Petter Dass is a frikkin bad ass. The comic comes in iOS app form and will make future issues available through in-app purchases. The app is well made, easy to use and navigate presenting the comic nicely. We had lots of fun learning about some Norwegian history and mythology while reading this comic and just can’t recommend it enough.
